Home From the First Day

August 19th - Brandon and Brittany unload from their new school bus after the first full day of school (Day One was just an Orientation Day). As you can tell, this year the bus comes all the way to our corner. We will really appreciate it this winter when we don't have to the two blocks over to catch the bus on those cold mornings!

Naperville Birthday

August 4th-7th - Dad had to go to Naperville for a computer training class for a few days and the rest of the family went along to enjoy a trip before school started and to celebrate Brandon's birthday. While Dad was in classes, the rest of the family swam in the hotel pool, participated in fire drills at the hotel, went to the Children's Museum, River Walk, and many other things. In the evening we went shopping (Ikea, Woodfield Mall, Tiger Direct) and to eat (Rainforest Cafe, Giordano's). Everyone had a great time as we celebrated Brandon's birthday away from home.

Brandon's 7th Birthday Party!

August 2nd - Brandon celebrated his seventh birthday with a party at the house. Luckily, Dad had just finished the deck in time for the party, which was his completion deadline. He had a great "Dog" party with his friends. They all did some crafts, hunted for dog bones in the yard, played "dog" games outside, and had Puppy Chow (chocolate/peanut butter/powdered sugar covered rice chexs), dog bones (dog bone shaped graham crackers) along with grilled hot dogs and birthday cake. Everyone had a great time, especially the birthday boy!

Hopefully the hiatus will soon be over! This weekend I hope to start getting you caught up on all the activites that have been going on in the past month: Brandon's birthday party, Naperville trip, First Day of School, more lost teeth, Cub Scouts, and much more! Sorry for the lack of posting, I just needed a little break!
